UI/UX & DESIGN PROJECTS
As part of my Professional Writing major, I have had the unique opportunity to grow my web, UI/UX, and visual design skills in a variety of courses. Below are examples of my design work, including a website redesign for a community partner, a theoretical client document design project, and a visual portfolio of my exploration of design principles in my visual rhetoric course. Enjoy Oxford Website Redesign
Senior Capstone Project
In the first semester of my senior year, I took a senior capstone course in which we created and redesigned content for Enjoy Oxford, the visitor's bureau of Oxford, OH. The course included a comprehensive content audit, UX research, and content creation. I was assigned to the web team along with five of my peers, and we did a complete redesign of their existing website based on our own audit and UX research from the Oxford and Miami University community.
Campus Pose
Client Design Project
As part of my ENG 411: Visual Rhetoric course, I worked with a team of peers to create documents and content for Campus Pose, a fictitious company created by my professor for the purpose of the project. With the help of my teammates, we completed UX research and then created a website (desktop and mobile), flyers, social posts, and postcards using Figma.
Visual Portfolio
Final Visual Rhetoric Project
The ENG 111: Visual Rhetoric course focused on learning the essentials and principles of design. This portfolio, created in Adobe InDesign, is a culmination of my individual work in the course, featuring sample pieces and short explanations of each principle.
